| The Village Constantine lies about half a mile away by footpath and boasts a useful range of small shops including a Spar open every day until 9pm, good general store, post office, a famous off licence, a country butcher, and a few others. There is also a thriving parish church, a pub, football cricket and bowls teams and in The Tolmen centre a newly provided village Arts and Performance venue in a converted chapel. Bus services run to Falmouth Helston and Truro and OTS provide an excellent taxi or minibus service. Goongillings
is well situated as a base for holidays in West Cornwall. The Helford
River is famous for its sheltered boating waters and wooded creeks,
as well as for several world famous gardens situated to take advantage
of its mild climate. Beaches and spectacular Cornish coastal scenery
are to be found to the East towards Falmouth and to the West and
South around the Lizard Peninsula providing unlimited scope for
walking, exploring and 'beaching'. |
