The Buildings
Three of these cottages have been converted by us from old granite farm buildings. Together with the Farmhouse they form three sides of a large attractive farm yard, which we now hardly use for farming activities. The whole collection of cottages along with the Gypsy Caravan is situated in a sheltered position surrounded by informal gardens and trees planted in the small meadow which surrounds the old farmyard. The barn conversions are fine single storey buildings made of solid Cornish granite, while the Farmhouse is a large traditional Cornish stone house. The conversions have been done sympathetically, retaining the traditional features of stone construction and natural slate roof while aiming at a very high standard of accommodation as well. We have tried to make them into real homes and not typical 'holiday lets' - nice furniture, pictures on the walls, books on the shelves, toys for the children and so on. So many people have now told us that they are the best cottages they have come across that we are beginning to believe them !
